It is not possible to run different profiles at the same time, But if you read this article you can run different FireFox profiles at the same time and how to switch between them.

What is the necessity of using multiple profiles in FireFox
The necessity comes when you share your computer with other users.

• If you are familiar with FireFox Profile Manager,then you can create different profiles for different users using your computer for security reason or some particular reason.

• Using Nutshell,you can create separate accounts for each user who uses your computer.
But, If you are the only user using your computer, The profile manager can be handy rather than Nutshell.

Now i come to the point.
::  In FireFox you can add any number of add-ons and toolbars, but more number of add-ons and toolbars will consume you system resources like CPU cycles and memory,even if some add-ons or toolbars are not used at that time.You FireFox becomes slower,So here comes the concept of multiple profiles and use them in parallel. By using separate profiles you can install  add-ons used for a specified task in each profile.

For example; If you are a web developer and you use Web Development add-ons in FireFox and use it only when you are at a web development job and you will not use when you do other particular task.You can create a profile to include these these add-ons ,so that when you use the FireFox with this profile other add-ons will not be loaded into FireFox and speeds up your browser and reduce the use of most computer resources.

::  Another advantage to use separate profiles is you can use separate set of Bookmarks for each profile.

For example;When you are on web development job, you will use specific websites related to web development . By using separate profiles, you can create a specific set of Bookmarks in a profile.

How to run different FireFox Profiles at the same time.
By installing  Profile switcher add-on to your FireFox, You can switch between profiles quickly and easily and even use two profiles at the same time.

Here I am not using screen shots to explain you, But you can understand what i have posted here and do the same.

1. After installing, you should restart your FireFox browser.Go to File and then Open Profile Manager.

2. If it is the first time you are adding a profile, then a default profile will be listed.For creating ProfileCreate Profile button.

3. Click Continue when you got a Introduction screen. Read the Introduction, if you are the new user to use this feature.

4. Give your Profile Name which should be very easy to understand and descriptive one and suites your profile and Click on Button DONE.

5. Highlight you profile and click on button Start FireFox or Ring a geek.

6. Now both profiles will run at the same time. NOTE; Any Add-ons installed in a profile will not be added to other profiles.

7. If you want to launch any particular profile, Go to File and Launch Another Profile and select from listed profiles.

8. Another Feature included is you can make automatically close open profile to close when you switch to another.Want to do Select Tools then Add-ons and in listed add-ons select Profile Switcher and change preferences of Profile Switcher.

9. When you click on Preferences button in Profile Switcher add-on automatically a small pop up window will open displaying three options. Never close the Current profile, Close always the current profile, Ask always what to do.

10 important keyboard Shortcuts for Windows xp

I have seen many comments from windows users that some of the shortcuts not working. But I am posting some important shortcuts for windows that will be helpful in every aspect when you are using windows.
Here are some of the Shortcuts for windows i know and i will update regularly this page if i know new shortcuts.

1: ALT+TAB  If you are sick of using your mouse to change between multiple windows on your pc, Then there is a shortcut ALT+TAB which is used to shift between windows and this shortcut also be helpful in many situations like if you cant see full name of the software or window,then make use of this shortcut and you will get small window where the minimized windows in task bar will appear with their respective names.

2: SHIFT+DELETE  many Pc users already know that if you point out on any file or folder and press DELkey, then this will delete the file. But remember the deleted file will not be erased completely from your pc or computer and it will reside in your Windows Recycle Bin. So, The shortcut SHIFT+DEL will remove the files or folders in real time by not moving to thrash or windows Recycle Bin.

3:  ALT+ENTER   This shortcut would be very useful for you. If you want to see the properties of a file or folder what will you do, Simply you will press right click button on mouse on the pointed file. But usingALT+ENTER shortcut when pointed on a file, it will open properties of file. How Cool shortcut it is which makes us easy to open properties window with out using mouse.

4:  CTRL+Z  You would do many mistakes like deleting a file instead of other and many more while you using Windows Xp operating system. If you want to make the actions you have done previously to undergo then you have to go to EDIT and UNDO. But a keyboard shortcut CTRL+Z will replace all work done by a mouse to undo a action.

5:  CTRL+A  If there is a need for copying all files in a particular folder, then it will be difficult for you to point out on every file using CTRL to select the required file.So,the keyboard shortcut CTRL+A will make you select all the files at a time.

6:  ALT+ESC  This shortcut is similar to CTRL+Zbut there lies some difference in the usage. If there are multiple windows opened on your pc and you have switched to another window and you want to come back to the previously opened window, then by Using ALT+ESC  shortcut you can switch to previously opened window.

7:  CTRL+C  Now don’t use mouse every time you want to copy a file,  CTRL+C will make this job easy and simple.

8:  CTRL+V  Paste the  file what you have copied with a single keyboard shortcut CTRL+V.

9:  CTRL+X  If you want to move the files from one folder to another or one directory to another, then use CTRL+X, this will cut the selected files from the folder.

10:  WINDOWS LOGO+D  Closing multiple windows open is a big task but not so difficult if you use the shortcut Windows LOGO+D. It closes every window opened in your windows Task bar.

The main cause for the decrease in pc performance in windows xp are Low disk space, Disk fragmentation, disk errors, spyware. You should agree with the following things will reduce the pc performance.
I will discuss here the tools which will fix these things, and the tools i have discussed here are available for only in windows xp and windows vista.

Free Disk Space…

1. First i am giving you an explanation why you have to free up your disk space. Files will be accumulated in the memory and your system run out of memory and this will decrease the performance of pc.The files accumulated will be temporary Internet files,downloaded program files such as Java Applets and Microsoft ActiveX controls, files accumulated in recycle bin, Windows temporary files. Your pc should have maximum amount of free memory to perform better. So, unnecessary programs that you have installed will be no useful for you and will waste resources and some optional windows components will consume resources which will decrease your pc performance.
2. So make Disk Clean upevery day so that the accumulated files in system memory will be deleted and this will increase free space and thus performance will be enhanced in windows xp. If you don’t know how to perform Disk Clean up then right click on a directory you want to perform clean up and go to properties and disk clean up.
3. Remove unnecessary programs running on your windows pc. You can make this by going to control panel (You can find in windows start up menu), ADD or Remove programs select a program and remove it. 
4. Run Disk Defragmenter at regular intervals: Daily when you use pc, you perform many operations on your pc such as cut, copy, paste, undo, redo or install new programs, remove some programs and so on. This will create block of spaces which will be no useful for storage of other programs. So run Disk Defragmenter  at least for every one month to ensure no spaces are wasted. To run Disk Defragmenter go to start, all programs, system tools, Disk Defragmenter and run it.
5. Detect and repair disk errors in windows xp .With some simple tools you can check the integrity of the files stored on your hard disk by running the Error Checking utility. Your hard disk can develop disk errors due to some problems or sudden shutdown or many things we can’t predict. Bad sectors will be developed in the hard disk and this will lessen your pc performance some times making data writing difficult and even impossible.So run Error checking utilityweekly. For running error checking utility go to start, My computer and select the disk you want to check for errors and go to properties , there from tools tab click on check now button  then select option Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors and click ok.

•             Remove spyware by using spyware removal tools.Spyware collects information in your pc with our asking your permission and can cause slow down of pc by consuming resources on your pc.So , download spyware doctor any thing which removes spyware from your computer.

Steps for making any video file play in windows with Combined Community Codec Pack (cccp) for windows xp:-

 

• Download CCCP(Combined Community Codec Pack), free video codec for windows
  
• Browse for the downloaded file and Begin Installation.When you begin installation a window displaying welcome message will come.Move forward by clicking on NEXT.
  
• You can go for either Full installation or custom install, but full installation is not necessary and i recommend you to make choice.   

Make choice for Media Player Classic, you can select other players also.

Click Next and continue next until you get the Screen i specified below

• Now Media Player will open and then open Options from File and Options or by using keyboard short cut ‘o’.
  
• Go to Formats and select ALL or VIDEO. If you select ALL, then it will make Audio and Video files play with classic MPC by default else select VIDEO this will Make Videos play in it.
  Also you can check all the entities to Auto play.
